| A native of Haifa, Israel, Ron Li-Paz has been the cantor of Valley Outreach
Synagogue in Los Angeles since 1996. Ron became the spiritual leader of the congregation in 2007 upon Rabbi Jerry Fisher's retirement. Ron divides his time between the synagogue
and the operatic and concert stages. In the synagogue, he performs both traditional
and contemporary liturgical compositions, featuring works of musical director and
composer, Jack Bielan, as well as those of other contemporary Jewish composers.
Renowned for inspiring life cycle ceremonies, lectures and retreats, Ron is in great
demand as a guest cantor, teacher and Jewish concert artist. He has sung in synagogues
of Strasbourg, Vancouver, Montreal, Miami, Seattle, Las Vegas, San Diego and throughout
Los Angeles. Together with his wife, Bronwen Li-Paz, and composer, Jack Bielan, Ron is
featured on an album of contemporary Jewish music entitled, "Jack Bielan; From the Heart
of a Jewish Soul." In early 2005, Ron released the CD Single, "We Only Lose the Best (Kol Hatovim Holchim)". |
